Home exchange
Are you looking for another property? Then home exchange might be for you. Swapping is only possible between tenants of rented houses. You can swap with someone who also rents from us or with a tenant from another housing association.
Find a swap house
You yourself look for a tenant from another property who wants to swap with you. If successful, we will assess whether it is a suitable exchange candidate. We see a home exchange as an ordinary move. So you terminate your rental contract and we conclude a new rental contract with the person you will swap with. Note: The home exchange may affect the rent.
Terms and conditions home exchange
- Your property will not be sold or demolished.
- You and the exchange candidate have lived at your own current address for at least one year.
- For both of you, there has been no rent arrears and/or nuisance in the past three years.
- The house fits the household of the exchange candidate. Here we look at income, age and household size.
- The person who will live in our home will stay there for at least 1 year. Cancellation in between is not possible.
- In case of suspicion of housing nuisance or housing fraud, we will reject the home exchange.
- The rent may be adjusted.
You have found a home exchange candidate. How to proceed?
Then it is important for you and your exchange candidate to see each other's homes inside first. Are the properties suitable? Then send the completed application form to the landlord of your property. For a home exchange, you always need written permission from the landlord. This may be Woonpartners or another housing association.
You submit your application with all the documents via Wooniezie.nl. We will assess these and inform you whether you are suitable exchange candidates. Please keep in mind that the processing time of a home exchange application takes 6 weeks? In the meantime, you are not allowed to move. You only move when you have written permission and you have signed the rental contract.
