Service costs

Service costs

In addition to the monthly net rent (bare rent), many tenants pay service charges. This is a fee for extra services, such as cleaning of common areas, electricity, water and garden maintenance. The amount you pay for service charges is an advance payment. At the beginning of the new year, we deduct the exact costs from the advance payments you made. You will receive a settlement statement before 1 July and we will adjust the advances if necessary. In some cases you pay extra, sometimes you get money back.

Different service charges in complex

Not all tenants in a complex are subject to the same service charges. For example, a resident with a flat on the ground floor with a private entrance and storage room does not pay for the lift's electricity consumption. This can cause differences in advance payments.

Making an objection

Would you like to object to the established advance payment? Then you can submit a request to the rent assessment committee to have the advance amount assessed. The rent assessment commission charges a fee advance of €25.00 to process the request.
