Homes grow here: From Land to Property
On Thursday 21 September, together with representatives of 13 MRE housing associations, Woonpartners took a great second step towards a more sustainable future.
In the agreed deal 'From land to property', in which we, together with Woningbouwvereniging Bergopwaarts, Woningstichting Compaen, Woningstichting Helpt Elkander, GoedWonenGemert, Woonstichting 'thuis, Trudo, Woningbouwvereniging Volksbelang, woCom, Woningbelang, Compaen, Woonbedrijf, Wooninc., and WSZ, agreed to make our rental properties 100% sustainable with bio-based materials by 2027.
To this end, the (regional) agricultural sector cultivates natural raw materials that are processed into those bio-based building materials. This will take us a big step towards a circular economy and reduce our ecological footprint.
The meeting is the start of our joint journey to actually turn these promises and agreements into action. The passion and dedication of the employees from 13 corporations present were inspiring and give us confidence that together we can meet this challenge.
