WoonST 2.0 tender launched

Since 2019, 13 housing associations operating in the Eindhoven Metropolitan Region and nine municipalities in the Eindhoven Metropolitan Area have been working together on new social housing.

They want to improve affordability and increase the speed at which they are realised.

Many projects have already been successfully completed and are now occupied, including the residential building Opwaarts in Helmond. In addition, many projects are under construction. Several more construction contracts are expected to be signed before the end of 2023, bringing the total number of homes above 1,000.

WoonST 2.0
The framework agreements with the two contracted construction companies will end on 1 January 2024. The corporations and municipalities want to continue their cooperation from WoonST after that in WoonST 2.0. The new ambition is to build 750 single-family houses and 1,750 stacked houses in the period up to about 2030. Affordability and speed remain key objectives. To these is added the reduction of environmental impact.

Tenders
The housing associations are commissioning the houses. They organise two tenders: one for single-family houses and one for stacked houses. Both tenders will start with a public selection phase, during which all interested parties may submit an application. Interested parties are allowed to apply for both tenders.

On 20 September 2023, the tender for stacked houses started first. The tender for the ground-level homes will start a few weeks later. The tender documents of the stacked houses are available via Mercell (https://s2c.mercell.com/today/51604). Interested parties can apply until 23 October 2023 3pm.
