This new construction started in early 2021 and in February 2022, the new tenants received the key. The flats were built on Nachtegaallaan and Thomas van Kempenstraat. The homes on Bloemendaallaan.

On Bloemendaallaan in Helmond-Noord, the street formerly also called Vondellaan (like the one across the water), four blocks of upstairs-downstairs houses have been demolished. In April 2021, a start was made on the new construction of 40 rental homes under the project name Schryverskade. What is unique about this project is that residents had a say in the design. Interested parties could register for the project and were then allowed to sit down with several architects. LX Architects' design was ultimately chosen. Residents of Helmond-Noord were given priority in order to promote circulation in the neighbourhood.

The new houses are a lot more sustainable than the previous upstairs and downstairs houses. For instance, the houses are equipped with solar panels, an air-water heat pump for heating and a self-regulating ventilation system.
